St. Joseph River flood warning still in effect

A flood warning for the St. Joseph River in Three Rivers remains in effect indefinitely, according to the U.S. National Weather Service.

By 5 am Friday, the river level was at 11 feet and rising. Flood stage is 7 feet.

Moderate flooding is occurring and the agency said the river is forecast to crest in excess of 11 feet by Saturday afternoon.

Homes and businesses in the vicinity of South Main Street are expected to be impacted by the situation, according to the agency.
