Glen Oaks Community College Board of Trustees has completed its annual review of President Bryan Newton, recognizing his continued leadership and steady progress in advancing the college’s mission, strengthening community partnerships and supporting student success.
According to a Glen Oaks media release, the review reflected the board’s assessment of Newton’s leadership across key areas, including fiscal stewardship, internal and external relations, strategic planning, student-centered decision-making and collaboration with the board.
Board chairman Bruce Gosling said Newton has continued to work with faculty, staff, students and community partners to support the college’s strategic priorities, including enrollment, student success, workforce development, resource development, community awareness and engagement, and workplace culture.
Newton started his role at the Centreville-area college in July 2024.
