Mendon Community Schools Superintendent Leasa Griffith-Mathews plans to retire at the end of the calendar year.
A 35-year veteran in the field of education, Griffith-Mathews said she has mixed emotions about the impending retirement. She has spent the past eight years as Mendon’s superintendent, stepping in after the December 2017 passing of Roger Rathburn.
The district’s board of education is expected to make a decision in July about how to move forward to secure Griffith-Mathews’ replacement.
