Sturgis Public Schools Superintendent Art Ebert was not selected as a finalist for the position at a district in Macomb County.
Ebert was one of six candidates interviewed last week for the superintendent’s job at Romeo Community Schools.
Officials from the 5,800-student district narrowed their list to two finalists, inviting back for a second interview this week administrators from Anchor Bay School District and Yale Public Schools.
Ebert, 48, has overseen St. Joseph County’s largest school district since the 2018-19 academic year.
