A Cassopolis man was arrested following his involvement in two incidents earlier this month.
Sheriff Clint Roach said Wiliam Werner, 33, was arraigned this week following a traffic crash around 9:30 a.m. July 4 on White Street and Dailey Road.
Authorities said Werner allegedly assaulted a female passenger after a vehicle they were in crashed into a utility pole. During the course of their investigation, deputies concluded Werner was allegedly involved in a shooting earlier in the day in the 62000 block of Stephenson Street in Cassopolis.
Authorities said Werner allegedly shot at a vehicle occupied by two adults and four juveniles. No injuries were reported.
