Constantine fire facing rising equipment costs

The Constantine Fire Department continues to face equipment price spikes because of changes in gear regulations.

The fire department’s crew is mostly paid on call and supplies gear for the crew. More than three quarters of their 400 per year service calls are medical in nature. Funds from Constantine Village, Constantine Township and Florence Township help fund the department, but continued increases in equipment costs are making it harder.

  2. Bizarre little piece. Is this a sudden vanishing Sturgis Hospital type warning?
