Officials from Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids are ready to open its consolidated rent-a-car facility.
The concept is the first of its kind in the state. According to WGVU radio, the $156 million dollar facility brings all rental car functions under one roof providing covered parking and including cleaning and fueling.
It increases capacity and provides quick-turn-around for the airport’s seven rental car partners, according to Airport Authority President Tory Richardson.
For customers, it offers a climate-controlled sky bridge from the terminal and streamlines services.
Richardson said the consolidated rent-a-car facility opens Wednesday.
