MDOT begins work on US 131 and US 12

Michigan Department of Transportation is starting a major road-resurfacing project this week in Constantine, Mottville and White Pigeon townships.

MDOT’s Nick Schirripa said work started Monday on the $4.2 million task.

Crews from Reith-Riley Construction are resurfacing U.S. 131 from the state line north to Dickinson Road, and U.S. 12 from Thomas Road in Mottville Township east to Miller Drive in White Pigeon.

Traffic will be maintained with single-lane closures.

Work is expected to be finished in late October.
