Michigan regional jobless rates were so-so during the month of July.
That’s according to the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget. Not seasonally adjusted unemployment rates increased in 11 of Michigan’s 18 labor market areas over the month, according to MDTMB.
Most of the regional labor markets showed minor unemployment rate changes in July, Wayne Rourke, labor market information director for the Michigan Center of Data and Analytics said. Michigan regional unemployment rates ranged from 3.8 to 6.0 percent during July, with minor median rate gains of around 0.2 percent.
Jobless rates remained unchanged in six regions during the month. Seventeen (17) labor markets showed unemployment rate reductions as well.
A total of 48 of Michigan’s 83 counties demonstrated unemployment rate increases, though. They had a median gain of 0.2 percent.
