Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport has announced a new maintenance supervisor.
The airport announced the move on Thursday. Christopher Beckman has been tabbed as the new operations and maintenance supervisor for the facility, replacing William Seamehorn (SEEM eh HORN), who retired recently after 20 years of dedicated service.
Beckman brings extensive military and civilian experience to the airport, officials said. He began his career on active duty in the United State Air Force, working in airfield management. He would later serve with the Oklahoma and Michigan National Guard on separate stints. Prior to taking the new job, Beckman served as Airport Director at Southwest Michigan Regional Airport in Benton Harbor.
His new position will see him oversee the teams responsible for maintaining AZO’s airfield, facilities and essential operational systems.
