A new facility for the St. Joseph County United Way had a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week. It took place on Friday in Centreville, where United Way officials said the new facility will be a big help to the local community.
An open house took place at the ceremony following the ribbon cutting where people of the community were able to check out the new facility.
The United Way’s expansion is going to be a big help, Kelly Hostetler, the executive director, said. The United Way services and funds 40 local agencies. Hostetler said the United Way is also starting their own volunteer center to continue support of the community.
