An off-duty St. Joseph County corrections officer is facing a drunken driving charge.
The Sturgis Journal/Coldwater Daily Reporter reported Monday afternoon that Brandy Sue Renee Galarza, 48, of Centreville, is facing drunken driving charges following a crash in Three Rivers on August 4.
Galarza allegedly rear-ended a pickup truck on South Main Street in Three Rivers and left the scene of the incident. She was arraigned in court last week and her case was assigned to the Calhoun County 10th District Judge Tracie Tomak after St. Joseph County judges recused themselves.
Calhoun County will reportedly schedule a pre-trial conference.
Galarza is charged with operating while intoxicated and a city ordinance violation for leaving the scene of an accident.
