Gas prices in Michigan jumped by an average of 62 cents last week.
The hike took the average gallon of unleaded fuel in Michigan to $4.93. Triple-A Michigan said the price was also up over 70 cents compared to last month and up $1.75 per gallon from this time last year. It’s also a new high for the 2026 calendar year.
The average price of a gallon in St. Joseph County was $4.95, Cass County was a little bit under that at $4.93.
