Motorcycle crash in Cass County

One person was injured in a motorcycle crash over the weekend in Cass County.

Sheriff Clint Roach’s Office reports that early Saturday morning, a single-vehicle motorcycle crash happened on M-60 just west of Oak Grove Road in Cassopolis. The incident happened around 7 a.m.

Michael Armstrong, 59, of Decatur, was traveling west on M-60 when he lost control of his bike and crashed, authorities said. Armstrong had to be transported by EMS to Central Cass Fire Department due to injuries sustained. He was then flown out by MedFlight to South Bend Memorial Hospital.

Officials said it was unknown if a helmet was worn at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by authorities.
