The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department is expanding its deputy list.
On Monday, Sheriff Chad Spence announced the welcoming of two new members to the office, Deputies Max Coon and Matt Carson.
Coon will be serving on road patrol while Carson joins the corrections division, serving in the jail.
Spence said while the responsibilities are different, both positions are important to the mission of the sheriff’s department. He said both he and the department are proud of the two new additions and are excited about the opportunities they bring to the team.
