Flock cameras in the city of Sturgis will be going away.
In last week’s city commission meeting, the panel said their contract with Flock is set to expire at the end of the year. At that time, the city will no longer continue to have Flock cameras. The commission cited budget reasons and the contract expiring for the decision to move on.
The cameras, however, will not be removed immediately. They are to be non-operational, according to authorities, once the contract with Flock expires at the end of the year.
