The Pit owners to re-open Beacon Health and Fitness

The Beacon Health and Fitness Center in Three Rivers looks to be staying open.

On Wednesday, Beacon Health System informed members the building will be partially leased out to The Pit Fitness Ranch, owned by Brock and Autumn Yost. Plans are for the facility to re-open quickly — October 1 according to an e-mail sent out from Beacon. The gym was scheduled to face a September 30 closing.

The facility will operate until that September 30 date with plans to switch over ownership on October 1. The e-mail to patrons said the existing standard membership rates will remain the same. The fitness equipment will remain the same and pool access will resume.

Other programs are expected to be offered as well.

Beacon announced earlier this month the facility would close because it was not generating enough revenue.
