David Lytle, 66

David Brian Lytle, age 66, of Sturgis, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston Texas.

He was born February 10, 1958, in Sturgis, son of Charles David and Katherine Fay (Kuhlman) Lytle.

David was a lifelong Sturgis resident and graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1976. He furthered his education at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo where he earned a bachelor’s degree.

On June 23, 1984, he married the love of his life Kimberly K. Connors in Howe, Indiana.

David’s entire working life was involved in finance.

He was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sturgis and attended Salem Lutheran Church in Sturgis and Peace Lutheran Church in South Haven. He enjoyed woodworking, working in he and Kim’s Christmas tree farm and traveling. David’s greatest joy in life was times surrounded by his family, especially his three grandchildren.

David is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 40 years: Kimberly; children: Ryan (Abby) Lytle of Beaumont, Texas, Mary (Reid) Rains and Anna (Clayton) Wonsetler both of Hutchinson, Kansas; grandchildren: Madison and Weston Lytle and Henry Wonsetler; father: Charles Lytle of Sturgis; sisters: Diane (Tim) Marks of Sturgis and Michelle “Mickey” (Chris) Bechill of Lowell; sister-in-law: Kris (Brad) Norris of Noblesville, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

In accordance with David’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating the life of David Brian Lytle will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 406 S. Lakeview Ave. in Sturgis. The Rev. Larry Matro and the Rev. Paul Hopkins will officiate.
