LouAnn Johnson, age 64, of Burr Oak, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 30, 2024, at Centrica Rose Arbor Place in Kalamazoo.
She was born June 29, 1960 in Sturgis, the daughter of the late Harold Dean “Pat” and Laura Lee (Leatherbery) Krontz.
LouAnn was a lifelong Burr Oak resident and graduate of Burr Oak High School with the class of 1978.
On September 12, 1992, she married Stephen Johnson in Burr Oak.
LouAnn was currently working for Midwest Tool & Cutlery in Sturgis and had recently been recognized for her 30 years of dedicated employment. She had also been employed by Bleyco Paper Company in Burr Oak for 5 years until the closing of the company.
She was a strong supporter of the Burr Oak 4-H Club and enjoyed traveling to Mackinac City and taking drives and camping with Steve.
She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband: Steve; daughter: Krysten Johnson of Burr Oak; sons: Scott (Kim) Krontz of Burr Oak and Nathan (Amanda) Johnson of Sturgis; grandchildren: Braxton, Sydney, Katie, Ian, Jaxson, Jasper, Colin, Colton, Dalton, Barrett, Ashton and Cooper; sister: Joan Lung of Burr Oak; brother: Daniel Krontz of Burr Oak and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Gary Krontz; brother-in-law: Jack Lung; nephew: Todd Lung and great nephew: Michael Lung.
In accordance with LouAnn’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 9th at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd. in Sturgis where a memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 7:00. The Rev. George Milliman will officiate.
