Harold B. Heslet, age 88, East Clear Lake Road, Three Rivers, died Nov. 11, 1990, at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo, following a short illness.
He was born May 17, 1902, in Vandalia, a son of Roy and Nora (BLODGETT) HESLET.
In July 1922, he married Florence BEIDLER, in Three Rivers.
He had been associated with an Oldsmobile agency in the early 1940s and he had worked as a frame and front end man for Gearheart Garage, Three Rivers. He also had owned and operated a farm on M-86 and the Buckeye Tourist Camp, Batchawana Bay, Canada. After his retirement, he worked as a maintenance man for Peterson Springs Corporation.
Surviving are his wife; children, Wanda and Ralph HOGLE, Gladwin; four grandchildren, Mrs. Robert (Sharon) BROOKS, Port Orange, Fla., Mrs. Dennis (Joy) RUMSEY, Three Rivers and Matthew and Kay HESLET, Fort Wayne, Ind.; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Raymond HESLET, Ellenton, Fla.; and one sister, Mrs. Joe (Thelma) STAPLES, Three Rivers. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant daughter, Doris Mae; one son, Dwight Dale HESLET; one brother, Edward HESLET, and one sister, Mildred CROSE.
Relatives and friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Geisler-Eley Funeral Home, Constantine, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Services are at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Murl Eastman, First Baptist Church, Three Rivers, officiating. Cremation will follow. Burial of the cremains will be in Riverside Cemetery, Three Rivers.
