Kurt Cook, 55

Kurt Eugene Cook, age 55, of rural Mendon, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008 at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo from injuries received in a deer-motorcycle accident near Schoolcraft on Tuesday. Kurt was born in Three Rivers on Dec. 6, 1952 and was a lifetime resident of the Three Rivers area. He graduated from Three Rivers High School with the class of 1971. He had been employed by Crocker Limited of Three Rivers, Syndicated Store Fixtures of Middlebury, and Metal Technologies (Dock Foundry) of Three Rivers.

Kurt is survived by his mother, Eva Cook of Three Rivers; his son, Kurt H. Ream of Mendon; brother, John A. Cook (Ruthann) of Three Rivers; ex-wife, Teresa Bellew; step-children, Gregory, Amanda, and Angela Grant; biological mother, Leah Bennett (Ralph); siblings, Keith Ridge, Bill Hack, and Ken Bennett; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Cook in 1980.
