James MacTavish, 36

James Alan MacTavish, age 36, of Three Rivers passed away Wednesday at his parents home. He was born February 28, 1973 in Three Rivers the child of James L. and Cora M. (Cook) MacTavish. James was an Eagle Scout and ran nature programs in scouting. He was a member of Order of Arrow Scouting, enjoyed fishing, golf, NASCAR (Tony Stewart fan), worked with handicap children during summer Kiwanis Camp along with being a Camp Counselor, enjoyed Cajun cooking and U of M football. James spent his early years in Three Rivers moved to Culver IN and lived in Louisiana before moving back to Three Rivers. He attended Bethany Chapel in Three Rivers. 

James is survived by his 3 sons; Drake and Gage MacTavish of Covington, GA; James A. MacTavish of Three Rivers; parents James L and Cora MacTavish; 2 brothers; Tom (Lori) Hagerman of Palmer, MI and Jesse MacTavish of Three Rivers; 4 sisters, Elizabeth (Mike) Baker of White Sulphur Springs, W.V.; Heidi (James) Griffin of Fairfax, VA; Emilie (Steve) Curtis of Three Rivers and Kristine (Kurt) Webb of Three Rivers and his biological father Robert (Marcia) Hagerman of Galesburg. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday March 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Eickhoff, Farrand, Halverson Chapel, Three Rivers where services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor, Tim Moore of Bethany Chapel officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Three Rivers. Memorials are being directed to Scidmore Park in Three Rivers. Online condolences may be sent to efhchapel.com
