Betty A. Roy, age 79, of Colon, Mich., went home with the angels on April 8, 2009.
She was born on Sept. 16, 1929, in Marion, Ind., to Parke and Louise (Jackson) Fawkes.
She graduated from Three Rivers High School and worked at Ross Labs for many years.
On May 18, 1968, she married Emil B. Roy, and they made their home in Colon.
Surviving are a daughter, Michele Fields, and a grandson, Kurt Fields; nieces Billie Washburn, Kris (Don) Stephens and Cindy Elliott; a nephew, Steven (Tonya) Shoemaker; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Leatrice Shoemaker.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the home of Steven Shoemaker, 58558 Ash Road, Three Rivers. If desired, the family suggests that memorials be made to Heartland Healthcare of Three Rivers. Funeral arrangements were made by Schipper Funeral Home in Colon.
