LARRY L. LUNG, age 68, of Sturgis, Michigan passed away Sunday afternoon
April 26, 2009 at his home.
He was born January 16, 1941 in Indiana a son to Hurlus “Sleepy” and
Mary Lung.
On October 13, 1961 he married Pearl Gray in Centreville, Michigan. She
died September 6, 1993.
He retired from Grumman Olson in Sturgis following 30 years of dedicated
employment. He had also been involved in the logging industry.
Larry was a life member of Loyal Order of Moose #574 and he enjoyed
fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, bowling and going to casinos.
He is survived by his son; James P. (Tina) Lung of Sturgis, Mother; Mary
Weldy of Goshen, Indiana, Step-daughter; Patricia of Indiana,
granddaughters; Cynthia and Crystal and several great grandchildren,
sisters and brothers.
He was preceded in death by his father and wife.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 2:00-4:00 and
6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Hackman Family Funeral Homes –
Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091. Funeral
services celebrating the life of Larry Lung will be held at 1:00 P.M.
Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Brian Lutz will officiate. A
graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
