Todd Lung, 34

Todd Anthony Lung, 34, of Burr Oak, Mich., passed away unexpectedly early Monday morning, April 20, 2009, at his home.

He was born Sept. 3, 1974, in Sturgis, a son to Jack A. and Joan (Krontz) Lung.

Todd was a lifelong resident of Burr Oak and graduated from Burr Oak High School with the class of 1992.

He was a diesel mechanic by trade. For the past four years he had been employed by G. Diamond Transport in Elkhart, Ind. Prior to joining G. Diamond he had worked for Kopf Trucking in Goshen, Ind., and his working life began with Hemels Chevrolet in Colon.

Todd always enjoyed tinkering and working on cars and trucks, especially four-wheel-drive vehicles. He loved camping and climbing the dunes at Silver Lake Dunes in Michigan.
He is survived by his mother, Joan Lung of Burr Oak; a brother, Jamie Lung of Burr Oak; a nephew, Shane Lung of Burr Oak; grandparents, Pat and Laura Krontz of Burr Oak; two important children in Todd’s life, Chase and Paije Harvey, both of Union City; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father; a nephew, Michael Lung; and grandparents, Delois and Betty Lung.

In accordance with Todd’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A gathering of friends and family will be held at a later date.

The Hackman Family Funeral Homes, Hackman Chapel of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.

Memorial donations would be appreciated to the family, c/o Joan Lung, 122 Riverside Road, Burr Oak, MI 49030. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
