Eunice Irene Yeomans, age 72 of Mendon, died Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers. She was born in Alba, MI on Sep. 1, 1936 the daughter of Herbert and Hazel (Tobias) Burrows, and was a 1954 graduate of Wolverine High School. Eunice was married to Raymond L. Yeomans on Nov. 28, 1958 in Wolverine, MI, and she has resided in Mendon since their marriage. Eunice worked briefly at Peterson Spring in Three Rivers, and was a former member of the First Assembly of God in Vicksburg. She enjoyed word-puzzles and playing Bingo at Heartland where she had resided the past 7 years.
Eunice is survived by 1 daughter, Joyce Heath and her husband, Terry; 2 sons, David Yeomans and Larry Yeomans all of Mendon; 7 grandchildren, Shannon & Rodney Teadt of Bronson, Cpl. Heather Heath of Camp Lejeune, NC, Ryan Heath, Josh Yeomans, and Kyle Yeomans all of Mendon, Kelly Yeomans of Sturgis, and Christy Alverez of Louisiana; 3 great-grandchildren, Michael Yeomans, Melena Yeomans, Anna Alvarez , and a great-grandchild on the way; 1 brother, Harvey Burrows of Wolverine; 3 sisters, Lucille Balinger of Wolverine, Nina Jennette of Missouri, and Lola Burgess of Clio; a sister in law, Martha Kirkman of Rochester, MN; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Raymond in 1997; 2 brothers, David and Richard Burrows; a sister, Alice Macek; and a sister in law, Phyllis Kuder.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the funeral home with Rev. Dave Woodman, Pastor of Grace Reformed Baptist Church in Schoolcraft officiating. Burial will be in Mendon Cemetery. Memorials will be directed to the family.
