Charles A. Fetch, of Three Rivers, passed away on June 22, 2009 at Heartland Health Care Center. He was born on Nov. 16, 1922 in LaGrange, IN, the son of Homer Charles and Mary Grace (Bellaire) Fetch.
Charles was a graduate of White Pigeon High School. During WWII he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as Sgt. of the 105th Radio Mechanic Army Airways Communications System.
On May 26, 1945 he was united in marriage to Erma Lou Tracy. Charles was a Licensed Master Plumber and owner of Fetch Plumbing and Heating for more than forty years. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, participated with his son in Boy Scouts and held a lifetime membership in the Classic Antique Restorers Car Club.
The family fondly referred to Charles as Grandpa Chuck. He loved his family and shared many hours with them. He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Lou, son, Kevin Charles Fetch, brother, LeRoy Fetch, and sister, Helena Friesner.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Susan (James) Penzotti and Sally Lovejoy, grandchildren, Gregory Penzotti, Kristin (Ben) Mast, Jeffrey (Laura) Penzotti, Abby (Matt) Dillon, Emily, Tyler, Kace and Lydia Lovejoy; nine great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the Hohner Funeral Home.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church of Three Rivers, with Rev. Dr. Maria Rutland officiating.
Private interment of cremains will be held in Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date.
