Michael Randall Henney, 20, of Bronson, passed away Sunday morning, Nov. 1, 2009, at his home.
He was born July 5, 1989, in Sturgis, a son of the late Michael and Kristine (Hoard) Henney.
Michael was a lifelong resident of Bronson and a graduate of Fort Custer Military School in Battle Creek with the class of 2007.
For the past several years he had been employed by Bill’s Steakhouse in Bronson. Michael enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing softball and his guitar, and loved music.
He is survived by a daughter, Aurora Marie Rae Barricks of Bronson; a son, Alexander James Meuleman of Coldwater; his mother and stepfather, Kristine (Edward) Saxman of Coldwater; his father and stepmother, Michael (Stacey) Henney of Coldwater; a half-brother, Ty Henney of Coldwater; a stepbrother, Will Langdon of Sherwood; grandmothers Gladys Hoard of Burr Oak and Brenda Henney of San Antonio, Texas; stepgrandfather George Macias of San Antonio; great-grandmother, Liz Hill of Inglis, Fla., and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jack Hoard and great-grandfather, William Hill.
The family will receive friends from 4-5:45 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church, 140 Buchanan St., Bronson, Michigan where funeral services celebrating the life of Michael Randall Henney will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Ron Fields will officiate. According to Michael’s wishes, cremation will follow the service.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes Rosenberg Chapel, Sturgis, is handling the arrangements.
