Ruby Anna Boughtin Stanton, age 101, of Centreville, passed away Monday, November 16th, 2009 at the Fairview Living Centre in Centreville. Ruby was born in Warren, Indiana on February 26, 1908, a daughter of John and Lillie M. (Felton) Dutton. On August 14, 1927 she married Louie Boughtin in Warren, IN. He preceded her in death July , 1952. On December 31, 1970 Ruby married John Stanton in Three Rivers. He preceded her in death in 1979. Ruby worked as a seamstress at Denton Mills in Centreville from 1926 to 1971 and was a member of the Centreville Baptist Church.
Surviving are 10 grandchildren, Joe Pahl Jr., LouAnn Pahl, Dave Pahl, Vicki Pahl, Mike (Diane) Pahl, Teresa Pahl, Neil Pahl, Robert Pahl, Mary Pahl and Dawn (Fred) Najmy, 2 great grandchildren Ricky and Katey Najmy and her special friend Dorothy Pagels. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, daughter Violet (Joseph) Pahl, sisters Edna Fuller, Mable Dutton, Ethel Hively and brothers Vern and Glen “Woody” Dutton.
Relatives and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday at the Eley Funeral Home in Centreville. Religious Services will be held 11 am Friday at the Centreville Baptist Church, with Pastor David Peterson officiating. Interment will be at the Prairie River Cemetery.
