Margaret Panczyk, 87

Margaret Phyllis Panczyk, age 87, of Three Rivers, went to be with her Lord early Thursday morning surrounded by her family. She was born in Saskatchewan, Canada on June 27, 1922 the daughter of Ervin and Bertha A. (Beam) Welty.

Mrs. Panczyk has been a long time member of this area. She was a registered nurse for many years at Borgess Medical Center, Three Rivers Area Hospital, and spent 15 years at Fairview Nursing Home. She had great compassion and care for all her patients.

Margaret’s true love were her children, family, and her church, Immaculate Conception, where she sang soprano in the choir. Margaret was multi talented in singing, classical piano, dancing, and painting and she loved her pet birds.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Robert Hoffman, one brother, and three sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Bruce E. (Tracy) Hoffman, of Cleveland, OH., John R. (Edna) Hoffman, and Marian Hoffman, both of Three Rivers; husband, Louis Panczyk, of Three Rivers; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009 at Hohner Funeral Home, with Father Mark Vyverman as celebrant.

Interment will be held in Riverside Cemetery.
