Pat Wheeler, age 90, of Three Rivers, died Dec. 7, 2009, at Riverview Manor in Three Rivers after an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 20, 1919, a daughter of Joseph and Bessie Smith in Roanoke, Va. In 1942, she married Melvin Wheeler in North Carolina. He preceded her in death on July 6, 1987.
Mrs. Wheeler lived in the Centreville and Mendon area for 53 years. She was a waitress and a member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are a son, Michael (Kimberly) Wheeler of White Pigeon; a grandson, Jason Wheeler of Sturgis; a sister, Ruth Burns; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and eight brothers and sisters.
There will be no visitation.
A private graveside service will be held at the Burr Oak Township Cemetery, with the Rev. Brenda Clark of SouthernCare Hospice officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to SouthernCare Hospice. Envelopes are available at the Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon, which is also handling the arrangements.
