Kevin Jon Miller, 49, of Sturgis, passed away late Tuesday evening, Jan. 26, 2010, at the Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
He was born Nov. 1, 1960, in Sturgis, a son of the late Elmer Ray and Shirley Louise (Rowan) Miller.
Kevin had lived his whole life in Sturgis, where he graduated from Sturgis High School with the class of 1981.
He had worked for McDonald’s and Kroger, delivered papers for the Gateway Shopper’s Guide and was part of the maintenance crew at the Klinger Lake Country Club. He was presently working at the St. Joseph County Co-Op.
He enjoyed music, riding his mo-peds and was a true fan of NASCAR.
Kevin is survived by a brother, Keith Miller of Sturgis; two sisters, Kathy (Chris) Strang of Sturgis and Kim Miller of Constantine and several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 11-11:45 a.m. Monday at Sturgis Wesleyan Church, where memorial services will begin at noon Monday. The Rev. Barry Edds will officiate. Private burial of the ashes will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis at a later date.
