Blanche Marie “Snookie” “Feisty” Elliott, 59, of White Pigeon, passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at her home.
She was born Sept. 11, 1950, in Lansing, a daughter of Donald Walter and Vesta (McAmis) Goodnoe.
She had resided in White Pigeon for the 10 years and had resided in California for several years, graduating from Baldwin Park High School with the class of 1968. She had also lived in Sturgis from 1984-2000.
On July 4, 1991, she married James Elliott in LaGrange, Ind.
Snookie was a homemaker, enjoyed collecting owls and loved playing her PlayStation 2, especially the games of Life, Frost Bite and Ratchet and Klink.
She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband James; four sons, Tom Keckler of Indiana, Don (Cyndi) Keckler of Sturgis, Bill (Teresa) Keckler of Bristol, Ind., and James Edward Elliott of Indiana; nine grandchildren; her mother, Vesta Murphy of California; four sisters, Patricia Salisbury of White Pigeon, Jackie Collier of Tennessee, Linda Keltner of California and Betsy Garcia of California; three brothers, Charles Kelly of California, Ron Goodnoe of California and James Goodnoe of Michigan; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother; David Kelly.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at The Lighthouse Church, 112 S. Kalamazoo St., White Pigeon. The Rev. David Watson will officiate.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes Hackman Chapel, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, is handling the arrangements.
