Clairnetta “Kit” Rozelle, 87, of Sturgis, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at South Bend Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Rozelle moved to Sturgis in 1978 from Fort Wayne, Ind. She was a registered nurse and a homemaker. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sturgis, Alter Society of the church, Sturgis Hospital Auxiliary, Klinger Lake Country Club, and Doyle Community Center of Sturgis.
Mrs. Rozelle was born on June 8, 1922, in Napoleon, Ohio, to Clayton F. and Clara (Reiser) Kelley. Both preceded her in death.
On Dec. 15, 1945, she married Carlos C. Rozelle in Napoleon. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1992.
Surviving are a daughter, Suzanne Rozelle of Sturgis; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Gregory J. and Vicky Rozelle of Dayton, Ohio, James K. and Linda Rozelle of Fort Wayne and Michael R. Rozelle of Goshen, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Clayton N. Kelley of Detroit.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. Thursday until service time at 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sturgis, with the Revs. Calvin Kolzow and Michael Klafehn officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, Ind.
