Michael Robertson, 66

Michael David Robertson, age 66, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with ALS, on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mike was born on May 27, 1943 in Urbana, IL. The son of Charles and Margaret (Cash) Robertson.

Mike was a graduate of Gibson City High School in 1961 and received his associates degree in business from Illinois College of Urbana. On Nov. 17, 1972 he married the love of his life, Cathy Skoczylas in Lansing, MI. and then moved to Three Rivers in 1975.

Mike and Cathy raised their family in Three Rivers, where he served as the Executive Vice President and was on the board of directors at First National Bank for 27 years before retiring in January 2002. He was very active in the Three Rivers area, where he was a member of the Lions Club, the Kiwanis Club, Three Rivers Rotary, Chamber of Commerce board of directors, and served eight years on the Three Rivers School Board. Mike was also a very active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory, wife, Cathy Robertson, of Three Rivers; his children, Pamela J. (David) Wingard, of North Muskegon, MI., Rebecca A. (T.J.) Glass, of Three Rivers, and Jennifer J. (Michael) Dueringer, of Melvin, IL., and son, Timothy M. Robertson, of Chatsmouth, IL.; nine grandchildren and three cousins, and many many friends.

The family will receive friends from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010 at the Hohner Funeral Home.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 22, 2010 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Fr. Mark Vyverman as celebrant.

Interment will take place at a later date at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.

Memorials may be donated to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or the A.L.S. Foundation. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
