Bonita Leeth-Carr, 79, of Sturgis, Michigan passed away Saturday
morning March 20, 2010 at the Goshen General Hospital in Goshen, Indiana.
She was born May 27, 1930 on a farm North of Mottville, Michigan a
daughter to the late Harry and Helen (Lintz) Corner.
Bonita had resided in the Sturgis and White Pigeon area most of her life
and enjoyed 13 years of wintering in Florida.
On July 18, 1948 she married Arlo Leeth in White Pigeon. He died in
August of 1975. She married Robert Carr on November 14, 1993 in Sturgis
and he died in September of 2006.
Most of her working life was involved in office and sales work in the
trailer industry. She retired from the Ventline Company in Bristol,
Indiana following several years of employment. A second job that she
held for many years was at Judd Drugs in Goshen, Indiana.
Bonita was a member of the Sturgis Foursquare Church. She enjoyed crafts
and loved time spent with her family. She also loved people and was
always ready to volunteer her time. She enjoyed keeping busy with
activities in the retirement community and had a knack for getting
others involved and active.
She is survived by Three Daughters; Pam (Pastor Doug) Carr of Sturgis,
Angie (Gary Hoag) Adams of Battle Creek and Lori Wyckoff of Evans,
Georgia, One Step-Son: Pastor Doug (Pam) Carr of Sturgis, Two
Step-Daughters; Linda (Jerry) Blount of Munising and Becky (Henry) Hoath
of Coldwater, Five Grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, great
grand children and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, infant brother;
Bruce Corner and one sister; Joyce Crites.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the
Hackman Family Funeral Homes – Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Rd.,
Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-3284. Funeral services celebrating the life
of Bonita J. Leeth-Carr will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the
Sturgis Foursquare Church, 410 S. Clay St., Sturgis. Pastors Doug Carr
and Steve Clark will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the
service at the White Pigeon Township Cemetery in White Pigeon.
