Gary Alan Layne, 58, passed away suddenly on Feb. 16, 2010. He was born on June 26, 1951 in Kalamazoo. Gary was employed at American Axle and Manufacturing for several years. He and his wife, Marilyn, and son Mark moved to Arkansas in 2008.
Gary was a cancer survivor for nine years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn, his father Elsworth (Pete) Layne and his brother Jack Layne.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving family, daughter, Jennifer; three sons, Nathan, Luke, and Mark; his mother, Sue Wolfe; four grandchildren, Kaedon, Tomas, Liam and Hunter.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 27 at the Three Rivers Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Bob Anderson officiating.
