William Ayers, 58

William M. Ayers, 58, of Cassopolis, passed away suddenly Friday evening, March 12, 2010 at Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital, Dowagiac.

He was born Aug. 9, 1951 in Dowagiac, the son of Donald Max and Sarah J. (Kiggins) Ayers. On June 28, 1978 in Wakelee he married Peggy S. Paulsen who survives.

He had lived most of his life in the Wakelee area and graduated from Marcellus High School in 1969 and attended Goshen College. He was a member of the Penn Friends Church. He was formerly employed at Bell Pipe and K & B in Three Rivers. Presently he was employed with the village of Vandalia.

Surviving besides his wife, Peggy, are one daughter, Sarah Ayers of New York City, NY; one son, Dylan Ayers of Cassopolis; one sister, Bonnie (Tom) Molnar of Lakeville, Ind. and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Wednesday, March 17 in the Penn Friends Church with Pastor Emilio Martino and Pastor Jamie Saylor officiating. Burial will follow at Fish Lake Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday in the church. Memorials may be directed to the American Friends Service Committee. Arrangements were handled by the Mater Funeral Home, Marcellus.
