Harold “Hal” Edward Schultz, age 84, of Jones, MI. passed away suddenly on April 13, 2010 at his home. He was born in North Judsen, Indiana, the son of John and Ida (Ringhand) Schultz.
Hal served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Marcellus V.F.W. and the American Legion Post #262 of Jones, MI. Upon returning, Hal was employed at Kuert Concrete, the Pathfynder Center, Gateway and P & P Trucking, and Sauganash Golf Course. In his later years, Hal loved to play Euchre and Poker, and spend time with his family, whom he loved very much.
On March 20, 1948 he married the love of his life, Barbara, whom preceded him in death along with two sisters, Lydia and Edith and one brother, Clarence Schultz.
He leaves to cherish his loving family, daughters, Mary (Max) Kent, of Jones, MI.; Peggy (Jeff) Zimont, of Constantine, one son, Michael (Nita) Schultz, of Cassopolis, MI.; three sisters, Elsie Metz, Edna Enders, and Doris Theuerl; six grandchildren, Marti (Allen) Lindstrom, Megan (Chris) Secondi, Michael Schultz, Justin Kent, and Ryan and Adam Zimont; four great-grandchildren, Trammell, Darby, and Sawyer Lindstrom, Max Secondi.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Hohner Funeral Home, with Rev. Bob LaPine officiating.
Interment will be held in Poe Cemetery.
