Delmer D. Wood Sr., 76, of Three Rivers, died Monday, May 17, 2010 at his home. He was born on June 28, 1933 in Three Rivers the child of Virgil and Margaret (Bowen) Wood. He lived all of his life in the Three Rivers area and was employed by Continental Can for 12 years, and as a carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
He is survived by two daughters, Kippy (Marshall) Pebler of Three Rivers and Penny (Steven) Fenwick of Centreville; two sons, Mike D. Wood of Portage and Delmar D. Wood Jr. of Three Rivers; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret (Art) Funk of Elgin, Ill.; brother, Sidney Wood of Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no visitation; cremation has been conducted. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 25 at the Eickhoff, Farrand, Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers. Interment of cremains will be in Constantine Township Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
