Kenneth A. Blentlinger, 66, of Marcellus, passed away Monday evening, June 21, 2010, at his residence following a long illness.
He was born on Oct. 21, 1943 in Centreville, the son of James A. and Marie A. (Ruggles) Blentlinger. On Feb. 3, 1968 in Moorepark he married Diane M. VanZee who preceded him in death on Feb. 23, 1999. He was a resident of Flowerfield Township since 1979 and previous to that at Moorepark. For 31 years he was employed at Checker Motors in Kalamazoo. He also engaged in farming and enjoyed collecting farm equipment, going out for dinner, and family gatherings.
Surviving are three daughters, Teresa (Alan) Ives, Darcy Carr and Heidi Blentlinger all of Marcellus; one son, Van (Kim) Blentlinger of Marcellus; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Allison and Anna Ives, Tyleen Blentlinger, Nick and Dallas Carr, Tyler and Jacob Blentlinger; one brother, LaVerne (Linda) Blentlinger of Three Rivers; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 25, at Bethany Chapel, Three Rivers with Pastor Luther Ash officiating. Burial will follow at Moorepark Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, June 24 at Mater Funeral Home, Marcellus. Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
