Alice “Polly” Stricker-Brown, age 75 of Three Rivers, died Sunday June 6, 2010 at her home following a long illness. She was born in St. Clair, MO on Oct. 28, 1934 the daughter of Wallace and Calista Phillips. While living in Three Rivers, Polly worked briefly at the Moose Lodge, where she was a life member. She was employed by Weyerhaeuser in Three Rivers for 18 years until her retirement.
She was married to Eugene Brown in 1988. He survives along with 3 sons, Wally Stricker of Elkhart, Lloyd Stricker of Wichita, KS, and Darrell Stricker of Sturgis; a step-son, Steve Brown (Barbara) of Three Rivers; and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Forest Stricker in 1985; 2 daughters, Ellen Stricker in 1979 and Janelle Middleton in 1994; and 2 step-sons, Kenneth Brown in 1991 and Harold “Butch” Brown in 2006.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday June 10, 2010 at the funeral home with Rev. Tim Moore, Pastor of the Bethany Chapel of Three Rivers officiating. Cremation will follow services and a private interment of ashes will take place later in Mendon Cemetery.
