Preston Jones, 64

Preston Edward Jones, 64, of Constantine, died June 21, 2010, at his home following an extended illness.

He was born Feb. 22, 1946, in Amelia County, Va., the son of William D. and Lula W. (Thompson) Jones.

On June 19, 1975, he married Nancy Black in White Pigeon.

He had been a Constantine resident since 1975 and in his early life worked in construction. He was an auto mechanic most of his life.

He was the past president of the Lions Club; a volunteer for the Constantine Schools and enjoyed taking tickets for football and basketball games.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Jones of Constantine; a sister, Carrie Rossi of Peoria, Ariz.; children, Daina (Donald) Spisak of Hendersonville, Tenn., Douglas (Melissa) Jones, of Elkhart, Ind., Shon (Lydia) Jones of Elkhart, Wendy (Ken) Ludwig of Three Rivers, Shannon (Brian) Schwart of Kalamazoo, and Angela Jones of Constantine; 17 grandchildren, Britanie, Skylar, Blake, Justin, Spencer, Avery, Andru, Christopher, Isaiah, Jack, Katherine, Riley, Brady, Nicholas, Ayden, McKenna, and Addison. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rose Marie Powell.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon, where services are at 11 .m. Friday with Pastor Gary Gray officiating. Burial will be in Constantine Township Cemetery, Constantine.

Memorials may be directed to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
