Shirley Alma Weaver, 72, of Three Rivers, passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at the Fairview Living Centre in Centreville.
She was born July 27, 1937 in Three Rivers a daughter of the late Frank Kline and Lenora (Fullgraf) Freese.
Shirley has been a resident of Three Rivers most of her life and on Jan. 15, 1957 in Angola, Ind. she married Robert D. Weaver. He preceded her in death on July 26, 2001.
She had been employed by Harding’s Market in Three Rivers in the Produce Dept. and enjoyed cake decorating, crafts, and gardening. Shirley was a licensed pilot, had taken martial arts training, dog training and was an avid bingo player. She was a member of the Ninth Street United Methodist Church in Three Rivers where she had served as a Lay Speaker.
Surviving are one daughter, Debra Cheeks-Carver and husband Kenneth Carver of Three Rivers; one son, David Weaver of Marcellus; eight grandchildren, Charley (Taby) Cheeks, Tiffany Tilli, Erica Weaver, Lucas (Samantha) Weaver, Seth Weaver, Cody (Erin) Weaver, Kelly Weaver and Tommy Cornwell, and Chelsey Weaver; eight great-grandchildren: Charley, William, and Justice Cheeks, Katie and Ethan Weaver, Lexi Weaver, Ryder Cornwell, and Trenton Schar; one sister, Arlene Reed of Kalamazoo; one brother, William (Sandra) Kline of Three Rivers; several nieces and nephews and a dear Aunt, Gloria Erhardt of Three Rivers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a niece, Connie Schermerhorn.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Shirley Alma Weaver will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27 at the Ninth Street United Methodist Church, 700 Ninth St., Three Rivers, MI 49093 with The Rev. Jim Stilwell officiating.
