Robert Charles Montes, age 77 of Goshen and formerly of Three Rivers, died Friday July 16, 2010 at the Courtyard of Goshen following a long illness. He was born in Holland, MI on April 20, 1933 and was a graduate of St. Charles High School in Fort Wayne, IN. While living in Three Rivers, Robert was a salesman in the home improvement business. He was an avid outdoorsman and greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a professional dog trainer and a member of the National Rifle Association.
Robert is survived by 3 children, LeeAnn Waldron (Donald) of Goshen, Brad Montes (Kay) of Attica, IN, and Lynn Aalsma of South Whitley, IN; 24 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, John Robert Montes; and a daughter, Laura Sue McHaney.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been conducted, and no services will be held.
