David Leon Snow, 63, of Mendon, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010 of natural causes. He was born in Kalamazoo on Feb. 12, 1947 the son of the late Leon and Rovenna “Anna” (Wilson) Snow, Jr. David attended Kalamazoo Central High School and performed maintenance work at several Kalamazoo area apartment complexes. He was an outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting and fishing, and has been a resident of Mendon since 2004.
David was married to Peggy (Ruggles) Snow on Dec. 27, 2002 in Centreville. She survives along with a daughter, Rochelle Deryke of Portage; two step-sons, Harvey Harmon of Mendon and Chaunce Harmon (Pam) of Montgomery, Ala.; eight grandchildren, Nichole Snow, Jeri Deryke, Lon Bair, Dykon Harmon, Thorne Harmon, Cody Harmon, Zander Harmon and Molly Cooke; a sister, Dorothea Russell of Lady Lake, Fla.; and a nephew, Christian Russell.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Cremation will be conducted, and a private interment of ashes will take place later in Mendon Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial donations be directed to Three Rivers Health Home Care and Hospice.
