Frank Jones, 48

Frank R. Jones, age 48, of Three Rivers, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday Aug. 2, 2010, at his home.

He was born in Three Rivers on Jan. 29, 1962, the son of Ismon and Ida (Bonannella) Jones and was a lifetime resident of the Mendon-Three Rivers area.

He graduated form Mendon High School in 1980, and attended Glen Oaks Community College and Western Michigan University. He was currently self-employed and the owner of Concrete Solutions and Design. He had been employed at Hydramatic and retired from American Axle in Three Rivers in 2008. Frank was an avid bowler and golfer. He loved his Detroit Tigers and Michigan State Spartans. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle, and his family and friends meant the world to him.

Frank is survived by his brother, Stuart Jones (Mary Sommerfield) of Grand Junction, Colo.; his sister, Susan Jones (Monica Del Castillo) of Holt, Mich.; his niece, Katie Del Castillo; a stepbrother, Jim (Becky) Wise of Three Rivers; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ismon Jones in 1981; and by his mother, Ida B. Wise in 2006.

Frank will always be in our hearts. He will be fondly remembered for his big heart; his big hugs; his witty sense of humor; and his outrageous T-shirts.

Cremation has been conducted. A memorial celebration will take place at a later date and will be announced by the Eickhoff Funeral Home of Mendon. In the meantime, condolences may be left for the family at www.eickhofffuneralhome.com.
