Larry Dean Bryie Sr., age 35, of Nottawa, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at his home.
He was born Nov. 20, 1974 in Fort Wayne, Ind., a son of the late Bruce and Paulette (Shank) Bryie.
He attended Northrup High School in Fort Wayne and later at Glen Oaks Community College.
He was a former First Responder with the Centreville Fire Department.
Larry had been employed at Jackson International, and more recently with Big George’s Tree Service in Nottawa.
He married Barbara Coburn in 1996. They were later divorced.
Larry is survived by six children, Tiffany Tyler (Jake), Dustin Schmidtendorff (Amanda), Chrystyn Bryie, Courtni Bryie, and Larry Bryie Jr., all of Constantine, and Morgan Squire of Sarasota, Fla.; two grandchildren, Tallen Schmidtendorff and Kristofer Tyler; a sister, Gail Hill (Warren) of Aurora, Colo.; a brother, Edgar Rumrill (Kelly) of Fort Wayne; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Friday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon, where funeral services will begin at 4 p.m. The Rev. Keith Phillips of the Seventh Day Adventist Church will officiate. Cremation will follow services, and a private interment will take place at a later date.
