Lenora O. Hayne, age 94, of Colon, passed away, Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Sturgis Hospital.
Lenora was born Jan. 12, 1916, in Toledo, a daughter of the late Lester & Minnie (Lapinske) Taylor.
On May 13, 1941, she married Leon A. Hayne in Toledo, Ohio. He preceded her in death April 25, 2003.
Lenora was a homemaker and a member of the Centreville Seventh Day Adventist Church. She had been a baby sitter in Colon for many years.
She is survived by a son, Kent Hayne and his wife, Lavonne, of Greenville; six grandchildren, Beth Ann, Renee, Carrie, Brandy, Nathan and Josiah; and several great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two children, Rodney Hayne in 1972 and Linda Huntimer in 1999; and a grandchild, Jaylene Huntimer.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Schipper Funeral Home in Colon. A funeral service celebrating the life of Lenora O. Hayne will then take place at 7 p.m., with Pastor John Paepke officiating.
A graveside service and burial will take place at 11 a.m. at Toledo Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Sylvania, Ohio.
If desired, the family asks that memorials be made in memory of Lenora to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
