Art Remington, 67

Arthur Donald “Art” Remington, age 67 of rural Three Rivers, died Monday Oct. 4, 2010 at his home. He was born in Allegan, MI on March 23, 1942 the son of the late Edwin Wilbur and Bernice Marie (Johnson) Remington. Art graduated from Three Rivers High School before servicing in the U. S. Coast Guard for 4 years. He had been the Safety Director at Clifton Engineering in Three Rivers for several years before starting his own company, known as Remington Construction in Three Rivers. He was a former member of the Elks Lodge and the American Legion. He enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially snowmobiling and fishing. He was married to Judy Rumsey in Three Rivers on June 25, 1971. They were later divorced.

Art is survived by his 2 daughters, JoDe Remington-Wheeler (Brian) of Three Rivers and Donna Ann Remington-D’Luzen (Alan) of W. Reading, PA; 1 sister, Tina Warble (Don) of Colon; 3 brothers, Richard Remington (Marguerite) of Leesburg, FL, Scott Remington (Sylvia) of Lake Placid, FL, and Jeffrey Remington of Florida; several nieces, nephews, and great-neices and nephews.

Cremation has been conducted. A private memorial service will be held later with interment of ashes in Poe Cemetery. Donations will be directed to the family. An online register is available and condolences may be left for the family at www.efhchapel.com
